Ohio cemetery on the rebound

A year after residents complained about the conditions of Spring Grove Cemetery in East Liverpool, Ohio, this report shows that local volunteers have helped turn things around.

Thanks for posting this. Many of my ancestors are buried in Columbiana County and my brother and I had an opportunity to visit East Liverpool two summers ago.

Sorry to report that the cemetery once again has become a weed-patch in many areas. I visited it yesterday after a few months time, and to my dismay, found things in the front sections once again lacking maintenance and disrepair. My father, grandparents, and greatgrandparents are buried there, and it is heartbreaking to see the lack of care at Spring Grove Cemetery. Last night I put my trimmer in the car and did my own cleaning-it is disgusting to say the least, and my father will definitely be the last member of our family to be interred there!
